Vladimir Loukich Borovikovsky (1757—1825) — painter, graphic artist, miniaturist, icon-painter. In 1788 Borovikovsky went to St. Petersburg where his teachers were D. G. Levitsky and J.-B. Lampi, Sr. Since 1795, member of the Imperial Academy of Arts. He took part in the work on the iconostasis of the Kazan Cathedral starting in 1804.

Pavel Masyukov (dates of birth and death unknown) is depicted in the full uniform of an officer of the Life Guards Hussar Regiment with the Order of St. Vladimir 3rd class, with a bow; a medal «For the Year 1812»; a medal «For the Seizure of Paris»; a nobiliary medal of 1812; the Cross of Kuhlm; and a saber awarded «For Bravery» with the Order of St. Anne 3rd class on the sword-hilt.
